An Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) is a new requirement for people who do not need a visa to come to the UK. It gives you permission to travel to the UK, and it is electronically linked to your passport.

• • Come to the UK for up to 6 months for tourism, visiting family and friends, business or study.
  • Come to the UK for up to 3 months on the Creative Worker visa concession.
  • Transit through the UK – including if you’re not going through UK border control.
  • Coming to the UK for a permitted paid engagement.

All eligible non-European nationals will require and Electric Travel Authorisation (ETA) to travel to or transit through the UK. Eligible Europeans will be able to apply from the 5^th of March 2025 and will need an ETA to travel to or transit through the UK from the 2^nd April 2025.
